CINNAMON & GINGER HOT CHOCOLATE
INGREDIENTS: SERVES 2
2 mugs milk of your choice (unsweetened almond, oat, cows etc)
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa/cacao powder
½ tbsp honey/maple syrup (more if you prefer a sweeter taste)
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp grated ginger (more if you fancy a little more spice)
1 pinch cardamom
Optional: grated chocolate, whipped cream, ¼ tsp vanilla extract, chilli flakes, coconut flakes etc.
METHOD:
Place the milk, cinnamon stick and grated ginger in a pan and gently warm over a medium heat. Careful not to boil.
Add the cacao powder and cardamom into the pan and whisk until smooth.
Continue to warm until your desired temperature, remove the cinnamon stick and divide into 2 mugs.
Add any additional toppings you fancy and enjoy!
